Bobbi:

From empty nest to personal best, let's fly mom, fly. Hi everyone and welcome to 5 on the Fly. I haven't done one of these in quite a long time because I'm so busy speaking to and interviewing amazing women for the Fly Mumfly podcast, But today there is something that I wanted to share with you and maybe it's something that will resonate with you to take on board Now. I'm really open online and I often get a lot of flak for it, but this is the funny thing My drive is actually not really for those that are living, but it's for those who will come after me, because, probably like you, i've had grandparents and relatives who I only came to know from stories and black and white photographs. For me personally, i want my future grandkids and great grandkids to know them real me. You know that messy, bumbling, fumbling and awkwardly real me. I do not want to be just a glossy image in their minds. I want them to be able to relate to me, to laugh at my silly jokes, to maybe shed tears when I face challenges and, most importantly, to see how my life truly was. I really want them to know me authentically, because that's not how I got to know some of my grandparents and any of my great grandparents By being open. I really want to create a legacy that will go beyond that superficial. I want to paint a genuine picture of my life, those highs and lows, the triumphs and the struggles and all the beautiful messiness in between. Because you know what? Life isn't always a highlight reel. It's the collection of both the extraordinary and those ordinary moments that shape us into who we are. It's the laughter and the tears and the successes and the failures, the love and the heartbreaks that make us human, and I really want my future generations to understand and embrace every part of their heritage. And I get that it can be scary to expose our vulnerabilities, but it's through those raw and genuine moments that we connect on a deeper level. I believe that through shared experiences we can find comfort, inspiration and a sense of belonging. We can create stories that will be cherished for generations to come. So I'm going to continue to unapologetically be myself, both online and offline, because I want to leave a legacy that is not just an image but a true reflection of my beautifully messy life. Because you know what? In the end, it's not about the number of likes or comments we receive. It's about the impact we have on the lives of those who are with us now and those who will come after us. It's about inspiring them to embrace their own authenticity and celebrate the beautifully imperfect journey that is life. So that's all I wanted to say about that, and I look forward to connecting with you soon.
